My name is Hannah. I'm a junior in high school. I play soccer and run track and am extremely competitive. What can I say, I love to win.
Ready to crash

These days seem to be getting longer and longer. Wake up, school, tutor, work, gym, sleep, repeat. That’s been my life for the past two weeks. And to make things even more difficult I haven’t been cleared yet by the orthopedist to resume soccer and running. These past 9 weeks have been the most frustrating weeks of my life.

I just need a few days to just sleep and I’ll be good as new. Why isn’t that possible?

Despite the weirdness that I even have the beep test in my itunes library, I seriously can’t wait until I’m able to kick its ass again!

WHY ON EARTH DID THE BEEP TEST JUST COME ON?!?!
my car smells like a locker room….

i should probably take out all my soccer and running gear

Officially have my own gym membership!

I had been using my mom’s for the past four weeks and today we finally finalized my own membership. It’s a student membership which means I can freeze it whenever I need to incase I get too busy to go to the gym…which will never happen.

My workout today consisted of aqua jogging and core. I’m following a new lifting plan that’s designed for distance runners which means I only lift twice a week with two days rest in between. So far it’s working out great. I’ll make sure to let you guys know how it’s going after the next few weeks.

Hope everyone is enjoying the incredible weather we are having :)

Dats my boy running around like a horseee. The two big dogs always team up against the puppy haha.

WOW I sound so attractive lol

I never realized how much I love/need to run until I’m not allowed to for six weeks

Enjoy everything that you are able to do, especially since there are others who can’t.

Well the bad news is I have a stress fracture. The good news is that we caught it early on and I’ll only be out for 6 weeks. The best news is that I won’t be missing any meets :)

Why track is worth it:

The comradery is amazing. You might be running against other people and schools but you all share something in common: you’re crazy enough to run. I love how you step on the line and it’s all business but after the race people congratulate each other and act civilly. Just because you ran against each other doesn’t mean you throw manners out the door. You truly get to know your competitors and have something in common since you all run.

That was the downside to school soccer both this season and previous seasons. Players are just plain mean. It’s always about me, me, me and not us as a team. We might have been a great team but the chemistry was not exactly the greatest. Even toward other teams some players were rude. Like hello get over it. Just because they’re good or because we play against them doesn’t mean you need to be rude.

The track team is the complete opposite. Hanging out with the team is actually fun. And for races even if you’re running against teammates, you’re really running against yourself and working toward the same goal: beating other teams.

PerTrack is just a great sport all around. I love my team :)

Sectional wrap-up

So proud of everyone. Everyone did their part and ran great races. We might not have won but it was close. Scoring 80 points and not winning is impressive. Can’t wait for States next week
